Single or Few-layer graphene can be obtained from high purity graphite by breaking the bonds that hold together the graphene sheets. This can be done by using either a chemical or a mechanical approach.
Mass production scale method to produce few-layer graphene (FLG) based on the mechanical exfoliation of graphite and compare the obtained FLG with the one reported earlier arising from pencil lead ablation. The purification and the ablation set-up were simplified, and the morphology of the FLG was modified and improved depending on applications.
It has much advantages over traditional chemical exfoliation method.
